Concept Eclipse Products

I don't like super thin bezels or notches or curved edges. I find myself accidentally touching the screen on my XZ2C when I use it because of the thin bezels and flush design while the XZ1C has thicker bezels and the screen is a bit inset. What about the Infinity Display found in Samsung S8/S9 but ...

Classic iPods aren't practical, and aren't worth using.

There is no scenario that I can think of where an iPod makes practical sense to be used. It might be fun to mod, or experiment with, but that's all I can think of. I just can't see any basic music player as a good music device today when old Android phones are cheaper and infinitely more capable. t...

If it can boot XP, it will boot 7.
I heard the ReactOS folks got freeldr working on Secureboot. If it works there then someone could backport it to XP

windows 10 in 2023/2024 & beyond?

Basically, 10 is likely to last pretty long after the EOS date. 11 has no real gain over it, and 11 can't officially be installed on a lot of hardware still out there. A lot of people will stick with 10, and Microsoft will have to get the shills running extra hard to scare people about the EOS date...

My theory as to why Microsoft is attempting to force TPM 2.0 as a requirement for Windows 11

From what I've heard, Microsoft is requiring Windows 11 laptops to sell with webcams, not that the user needs one. Duct tape sales are about to skyrocket. But seriously, I think MS just wants to fuck with the economy rather then invading our privacy by skyrocketing duct tape and TPM chip remover sa...

Windows 7 could be dual-booted with 11 if we can figure out how to make it work with Secure Boot. If you take a look here http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/guide-how-to-install-windows-7-x64-on-acer-spin-5-laptop.829379/ this guide shows us how to get Windows 7 working under newer UEFI modes....
