R3dfox, modern Firefox for Windows 7!

However, the address bar is now using a smaller font than with version 122, not sure why. And I've also lost the black title bar (I'm using both the dark mode and the dark theme) but I guess it's because of the Aero thingy. Is there a way for Windows 8.1 users to get the black title bar back ? I th...

R3dfox, modern Firefox for Windows 7!

There is a problem on one specific site with all versions 123 of R3dfox, WebRender fix and pre WebRender fix, but it's working fine with version 122 and also with official Firefox ESR 115.8. I'm using Windows 8.1 x64. It being fine on 8.1 makes me think it's upstream, but I would need someone to wi...

Finding tweaks to get the most performance and lowest DPC latency

A while back, I watched this video , and made a note to make a thread about it after lowering DPC latency was mentioned. The video is a podcast type thing with a DAW Engineer from AAVIM Technology. They build digital audio workstations for customers. An important part of this is software tweaks to l...

Guidelines for Eclipse Community Projects

I've decided to split this from rules since there are two tiers of Eclipse Community Projects. To post your software in this category, Community Projects , it needs to follow these guidelines: It must not be malware, pirated, or illegal. This includes purpose built cracking tools or activators. It m...

Issues with certain email providers not receiving emails from Eclipse

Today I did receive two e-mails from eclipse.cx , in fact it's one identical e-mail just sent twice ; the first copy was received on 202403090357UTC, the second just 8min later, 202403090405UTC ;) ... Yeah I accidentally canceled the first email sending script so it didn't get fully sent to everyon...

Trying to find fully working NVMe driver for Windows 7 with SMART

Basically the 7 NVMe driver added with updates does work pretty well, but SMART does not work. This means if you check Crystal Disk Info, the SSD does not appear in it. The Phison driver does work with SMART, but disk checking (at boot) is an issue. The disk checking part does work fine, but it fail...

Hmm, ok. I would be curious what happens if you isolate the GPU in like a separate system, if you have one.

Windows Vista Relevancy In 2024: New Copy Hunting

I wouldn't really say there's much use. Sure having in box copy is cool, but there's no real reason to have it. You can get keys, and if not, 7/8 OEM keys can still activate with downgrade rights.

psst you can disable the activation services while the trial is active and it stays activated.

I think it's just 398.11 from here.

If the VRAM was running too hot, I'd assume it would show in more games. If it was unstable, you'd see artifacts, not lagging. You could probably get some thermal pads for VRAM, and heatsinks for back VRAM if there is any and see what happens. Should be like $10 at most from like AliExpress.

wdf01000.sys BSOD on modern laptop

The PC will be going anyway sometime in the next year or two (assuming it doesn't totally go out beyond economical repair beforehand, I've kludged it to death and it still has some problems) and I will probably consult this or a similar forum for board selection. Pretty sure you could just get a ne...

OEM PC's are just cursed. Mobile Ryzen just does not have an iGPU driver for any part worth using. Probably just sell both, build your own PC, and get P15G2 for laptop.

Also 8.1 NVMe driver does not support S.M.A.R.T., so that's why it doesn't show.

I tested a lot of services with help from Niko. I didn't do it through Eclipse as in the forum, instead I sent them using CLI email client on server. I assume these would give the same results as a real user on the forum.

I225-V Driver Error

As for the WWAN adapter, do you mean swapping out the hardware? Is it just on a small add in card like those found on lapotops under the I/O cover or something? I need to correct you on this, WWAN is used to refer to cellular (3G, 4G, 5G) cards. The AX201 is a WLAN card. Also yes, I mean swapping o...

I225-V Driver Error

So they never released a proper working BIOS for 11th gen? That is odd. Modern EVGA moment I guess. AX201 does not work, but you should be able to replace with DW1560 or DW1820A and that works on even XP. Similar or better than 8265 (last working on 7) For I225-V, I haven't seen that before, nor do ...

AnonAddy, Riseup, Tutanota, and VWebR seem to be working now. Or at least sending wasn't immediately rejected. Removed from not working list, but will wait for someone with an address from one of these to report back before adding to working list.

Due to a configuration error some services were rejecting emails from Eclipse. I do believe I've fixed it. Sending another test email to see what services accept it.

So the email sending process gave me more services that don't work. Eclipse seems to be on a Proofpoint blacklist. I have no idea how this could have happened, but I'm leaning towards old enemies somehow got this to happen. So lots of email services just don't work with Eclipse anymore.

R3dacted Fox or r3dfox is modern Firefox but Windows 7 compatible. It's currently on version 122 as of posting. There are still some issues like the window border always being the Windows 10 one, but it works. https://github.com/Eclipse-Community/r3dfox To download it, go to the releases tab and dow...

Finding the last XP compatible versions of Sysinternals Suite programs

I grabbed Process Explorer to check something, and I noticed the listed minimum Windows version is 8.1. For programs, I often like to grab the last XP compatible versions within reason. I was discussing AI with someone and the topic came up. I thought of an interesting idea I would like to add. This adds on top of the last point. I don't think you can fully replace people with AI and still have a good product just yet. However there will come a time where AI far succeeds any human....
