Is it possible to use at least SMBv2 with Server 2003/XP x64?

From the information I can find, SMBv2 support was added in Vista/Server 2008, meaning that XP/Server 2003 probably doesn't support it.

My Summer Car - General

I find this game abit puzziling, did they really strike the balance between customisability and driving that well? Same tbh. I got the game recently, and while I love the concept, I feel that getting started is really hard, not due to outright difficulty, but simply not knowing where to start. I al...

Which is the best version of MS Office in your opinion?

I honestly think 2010 is honestly the best version of office, activation issues aside. It got a refined ribbon UI and works well on anything from XP-10. As for versions without the ribbon interface, 2003 comes out on top imo, especially if paired with XP.

Little-known bug in XP causes explorer.exe to crash.

I don't think IE version matters too much, due to the amount of IE6 stuff remaining even after upgrading to IE7/8. But don't take my word for it since I haven't tested this with all 3 IE versions yet.

Funny things around the internet

I honestly think both the Mega Drive and the SNES soundchip are really good, but in their own ways.

For something like Bohemian Rhapshody, the YM2612 would be amazing to listen to :3

Re: What's the best version of MS Office in your opinion?

Office 2000 doesn't require activation. It does. I always have to activate it. 2002 does aside from VLKs and one specific key (almost as famous as 'FCKGW') is usually used as MS never imposed blocking keys after specific updates on volume licence keys for 2002, unlike they did with most of the keys...

Re: Automatic Updates in Windows XP

Gonna stick this thread as I feel like you just made an extremely valuable contribution here @CRMX. Heh, MDL restricting posts to logged-in users is just a dick move. Part of the reason Eclipse exists is because MDL is the only feasible alternative and well, doing something like that to make people...

Re: What's the best version of MS Office in your opinion?

Office 2000 and XP (2002) is nearly the same thing, other than 95 support, activation and the assistant being disabled by default. So, I'd just go with 2000 due to the lack of activation and the 95 support.

Re: Automatic Updates in Windows XP

Sadly they banned all trashmail domains and all profiles at bugmenot were banned so... Maybe you could send the files over;) Sure! https://download.ru/files/q1ttVqHt Just ensure you have the VC++ 11 redist, Windows Update Agent 7.6.7600.256, IE8 or the IDN mitigation APIs if you rather want to keep...

Re: Automatic Updates in Windows XP

Sadly, MS shut down the update servers for XP. But you can take a look at this thread from MDL, where they fix the issue via some proxy. Sadly, you need to register for an account there. If you don't want to register, let me know and I can send the files needed. https://forums.mydigitallife.net/thre...

Re: Wanting to see how Firefox 3.6.28 works

I managed to verify that IE6 "works" with the forum, as long as you replace https with http, since IE6 doesn't like many modern SSL certificates. The site looks broken, but it's mostly usable.
