Centaury

So a browser with WebRTC is great. Maybe MS Teams will work on XP, that would be really nice. I tried that out, sadly it didn´t. At first it just said my browser is incompatible. After changing the useragent to "Mozilla/5.0 (%OS_SLICE% rv:71.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/71.0 Basilisk/52.9.2021.01...

A couple site updates.

Oh so that's why you had the testboard running an older software revision. Mind checking if this plugin works on 3.3? I'm lazy right now and honestly don't like tampering with the server unless explicitly asked to do anything due to... reasons, and you seem to be getting the hang of things now @R3n...

Both themes are already added, I'd just like to remove bloat if it gets considered bloat.

A couple site updates.

I've added Advanced BBCode box to help with adding BBCode to posts. I've also added the Lucid Blue theme as a replacement for the black theme. Black will still be available for a short time, but will eventually be removed, unless someone really wants the theme to stay. I'm also open to any changes, ...

Windows 7 Ryzen install guides

I will be assuming that you are using the Windows 7 ISO linked here . You can use another ISO, but integrating USB 3.0 and NVMe drivers are on you. Step 1 : Use Rufus to put the ISO on a USB flash drive. Note: I recommend you use legacy mode or CSM in the BIOS for installing any OS, you'll have to w...

For small files I mostly use catbox.moe, sometimes awau.moe if I've bothered to configure it for this install of Windows.

If the laptop still has an OS, you could use something like YUMI to burn the installer to a drive partition, then install off of the HDD

Windows Vista SSD optimisation guide - Get the best out of your SSD on your beloved Windows Vista!

Pretty informative - nice of you to share your main source, too. Do any third-party AHCI/RAID drivers support TRIM for SSD on Vista, out of sheer curiosity? Also, will the services.msc optimisations help at all on a 7200RPM HDD (presuming that disabling those would help lower the amount of I/O on t...

Re: Need help with an issue with IDT HD audio and Windows XP x64

what hardware ID does the audio device reports? It seems VirtualBox emulates an also (sigmatel) IDT HD audio card, so working drivers for VirtualBox in HDA mode should also theoretically work with your non-virtual device too. There aren't many compatible drivers, but maybe that could get you closer...

Need help with an issue with IDT HD audio and Windows XP x64

So I have a HP laptop with IDT HD audio, and I can get the driver to install fine, but the pitch of sounds is wrong. It's either too high pitched or too low pitched, and I can't stand it. I don't have this issue with anything Vista+, but I almost always use the superior Windows HD audio drivers ther...

Giving credit where credit it due, this install is awesome. Thank you for putting this install together, it worked right out of the box. I've messed around with other installs, tried to hunt down drivers to NTLite my own, and have failed. Your install has the correct USB 3.1 and NVME support I need...

Have you tried it with the extended kernel? Yeah, the current Steam client doesn't work correctly unless you somehow spoofed everything to look like Windows 7. The last working modded client broke relatively recently it seems as R3n has shown above. Do I need to use Dependency Walker to show that i...

So do I, I want to use Vista... but the Steam client apparently doesn't work as you've shown. Any workarounds known? The image I posted was with the October 2020 client, which is pretty modern. Steam won't fully work until we find a way to spoof NT 6.1. Edit: I see what you mean, the client works, ...
