wdf01000.sys BSOD on modern laptop

OEM PC's are just cursed. Mobile Ryzen just does not have an iGPU driver for any part worth using. Probably just sell both, build your own PC, and get P15G2 for laptop.

Also 8.1 NVMe driver does not support S.M.A.R.T., so that's why it doesn't show.

Issues with certain email providers not receiving emails from Eclipse

I tested a lot of services with help from Niko. I didn't do it through Eclipse as in the forum, instead I sent them using CLI email client on server. I assume these would give the same results as a real user on the forum.

I225-V Driver Error

As for the WWAN adapter, do you mean swapping out the hardware? Is it just on a small add in card like those found on lapotops under the I/O cover or something? I need to correct you on this, WWAN is used to refer to cellular (3G, 4G, 5G) cards. The AX201 is a WLAN card. Also yes, I mean swapping o...

I225-V Driver Error

So they never released a proper working BIOS for 11th gen? That is odd. Modern EVGA moment I guess. AX201 does not work, but you should be able to replace with DW1560 or DW1820A and that works on even XP. Similar or better than 8265 (last working on 7) For I225-V, I haven't seen that before, nor do ...

AnonAddy, Riseup, Tutanota, and VWebR seem to be working now. Or at least sending wasn't immediately rejected. Removed from not working list, but will wait for someone with an address from one of these to report back before adding to working list.

Due to a configuration error some services were rejecting emails from Eclipse. I do believe I've fixed it. Sending another test email to see what services accept it.

Issues with certain email providers not receiving emails from Eclipse

So the email sending process gave me more services that don't work. Eclipse seems to be on a Proofpoint blacklist. I have no idea how this could have happened, but I'm leaning towards old enemies somehow got this to happen. So lots of email services just don't work with Eclipse anymore.

Finding the last XP compatible versions of Sysinternals Suite programs

I grabbed Process Explorer to check something, and I noticed the listed minimum Windows version is 8.1. For programs, I often like to grab the last XP compatible versions within reason. (excluding like browsers and such) So I decided to try looking for the last XP compatible version. I stumbled upon...

AI is the future and why anti-AI rhetoric is deeply flawed

I was discussing AI with someone and the topic came up. I thought of an interesting idea I would like to add. This adds on top of the last point. I don't think you can fully replace people with AI and still have a good product just yet. However there will come a time where AI far succeeds any human....

Trying to use Wireguard VPN with firewall (Specifically Comodo)

With Windscribe and Wireguard, it bypasses Comodo Firewall. From what I can tell the firewall driver doesn't apply to the Wireguard VPN device. I think I would have to edit the Comodo inf to let it apply to Wireguard, but I'm not sure how to do that. I'm including the firewall driver from 8.4.0.5165...

How do I connect to IKEv2 VPN using Windows Server (2008 R2 and later)?

This is something someone using Windows Server as a workstation might want to do, but I can't find anything helpful about it. Everything I've found is either very confusing or is about having it act as a VPN server instead of just being a client. If anyone knows what needs to be installed or done to...

Getting rid of Program Compatibility Assistant

This is a bit of a different compatibility patch. Instead of getting a newer application working on an older OS, we're getting an older application working on a newer OS. Thanks to Jevil7452 for finding this. To do this, you need Resource Hacker Step 1: Open the application in Resource Hacker Step 2...

Errors trying to compile LineageOS 17.1 with updated clang (and other patches) for the XZ2 Compact

This has been resolved. More info here . This is a bit of a different one to the usual Windows posts here. I have a big interest into Android too, optimizing it and using the objectively superior older versions. I would like to hopefully get 15.1 or even 14.1 running on this phone, however that will...

I've been working on Firefox backported to Windows 7 again, and I have it running, however it's not optimal. XP bootscreen on Windows 10

This is more of a curiosity than a real thing. It should be possible with graphicsmodedisabled 1 and editing the Vista fallback, however there may be a XP bootscreen hidden inside 10 that appears in very rare circumstances. I've only found two references to this ever happening. First was the result ...

To be honest I really don't know what this does, so this is just a null driver, meaning it doesn't really do anything other than make it not show as an unknown device. I've configured it for the device ID of my 2080 Ti. Yours could be different. If so, edit the inf to reflect. Also on Windows 8.x yo...

Windows 8.1 updated to 2020-01 and 2016-09

I always recommend to install my ISOs in MBR. But when I try to do it from a USB (8.1, 64bit, updated to 2020), on a partition, it doesn't let me install saying it has to be in GPT. Booting from said USB in non-UEFI is just a smiley face :( Try Rufus 2.18p and make sure it's set to MBR for legacy.
