My theory as to why Microsoft is attempting to force TPM 2.0 as a requirement for Windows 11

Windows 7 could be dual-booted with 11 if we can figure out how to make it work with Secure Boot. If you take a look here http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/guide-how-to-install-windows-7-x64-on-acer-spin-5-laptop.829379/ this guide shows us how to get Windows 7 working under newer UEFI modes....

Alright, so after modifying the XP 32bit drivers, the machine would not even let me install them. I was able to install modified XP 64bit drivers, but I get the same error message (Code 39) after install & reboot. I think I might just try to install XP on this machine at this point lol. 2nd sol...

Rant about Windows 10 here! [formerly titled Share your Windows 10 experience!!]

Windows 10 was the worst OS I ever used. Even the worst LInux Distros are better then this pile of bug that this OS is. It constantly BSODd on startup and randomly BSODd whenever I do daily tasks like opening Firefox and viewing my downloads or recycle bin. I had to switch to Linux then Win7 and the...

10 is utterly covered with these cases; in fact, just ran into one recently. It flipped the screen on a vertical orientation and turned off cleartype for no apparent reason. It's definitely not a 3rd party program freaking out because i didn't install anything prior to it. IME like i've said in the...

If you want to try Pentium 33, go ahead. Also, monochrome is 9x only.
I thought you can port the 98 monochrome drivers to XP. weird.

Installing Longhorn 3683 In Its Bare Minimum Requirements.

https://i.imgur.com/w3TteGa.png I have installed Longhorn 3683 under a Pentium 75, 64MB RAM, and a base VGA graphics adapter. You may think this is just a slow Longhorn build, but you're underestimating how slow this really is. This was an upgrade from Windows XP, and the upgrade took about 2 hours...

Windows 7 bluescreens at random times of day (pci.sys,) but no bluescreen?

So I decided to "upgrade" my Windows 10 dualboot install to Windows 7 (dualbooted with Arch Linux.) It worked out and I managed to install it, put my Windows Longhorn themes on it and install some programs, but there is a problem. At random times of day, the PC decides to bluescreen itsel...

This probably shouldn't go here, and it probably would end up out of date soon enough, but Windows 11 seems to be making Windows 10 even worse. How? Just look at 22000.51. It looks good, the return of the startup sound is nice, and its wallpapers are fucking amazing. HOWEVER , when you dig beneath ...

oh cool, i hope 8x users get a free upgrade once it comes out (not if i even like it, it's living trash ngl) I think they removed free upgrades directly from 7 and 8.x. To upgrade and keep your files, I think you need to upgrade to 10, then 11. I would wait until RTM though. I could also be wrong. ...
