No, and there probably won't be. Unless you know how to port the open source Linux drivers.

Guide for compiling VirtualBox 4.3 and 5.2

You could fix the issues with later 5.2.x builds, and compile a fixed 5.2.40 or whatever without hardening and maybe the 4.x UI as well. Would be best VirtualBox.

Microsoft Office 2010 installer with updates to October 2020 EOS.

There are a couple things to note: There are two updates not integrated, they must be installed separately. (only one for the x86 version) They are the Update for Microsoft Office 2010 (KB2553092) and Visual Studio 2010 Tools for Office Runtime. Office 2010 requires a key to install, and it also req...

I don't remember, but I think they use a new memory thing and that doesn't work after redirecting to an older function. Not sure if it even gives an error.

Either wrong QT6 ver or they use a special version. Maybe compiling a version with the QT6 patches and using those dlls for later releases could work.

My theory as to why Microsoft is attempting to force TPM 2.0 as a requirement for Windows 11

It also explains why everyone nowadays is either a raging leftist advocating for things like men with exhibitionistic and/or downright perverted fetishes that correlate with LARPing as a caricature of a woman being allowed into women-only private spaces like bathrooms and crisis centres, or a ragin...

If you've ever encountered "The procedure entry point x could not be located in the dynamic link library y", it could be possible to swap the missing function/procedure entry point with one that exists to make the application run. To replace a function, you need CFF Explorer . It will be f...

More updates and changes done to Eclipse

I did this all yesterday, but I'm only getting around to making this post today. I updated extensions and themes. The themes should fix any incompatibilities with later phpBB versions. I also reverted most of my changes to the legacy theme (it's full width now). I have also added the DVGFX2 theme as...

Alternative game stores and why you should use them

With Steam dropping Windows 7/8 support, it's probably a good idea to suggest an alternative, the main alternative being GOG. GOG has some pretty massive advantages over Steam. One of them is that you don't need any client, or to deal with any DRM to play a game you own. As long as you have your gam...

I actually just went for it, and it works fine in my test VM. How are you extracting it? The method I use is to tell 7-zip to extract them all to 1 folder.

I think it could be something wrong with your system since I've seen people using that client without issue. I'll try it in a VM tomorrow.

Can you send a pic? Also can you test the latest client in the folder? It's what I'm running currently and works fine for me. I'll likely try one of those older builds in a VM to see what happens.

Not sure what the issue is or what you mean by properties, but if you're overwriting an old/new install things can get real buggy real fast.

Why phone 2fa is useless and just wastes your time

Many services and people will suggest to use phone 2fa to "improve security", however most of the time it does nothing except waste your time. Even if a hacker gets your password, most services worth hacking already have a form of email 2fa where they email you a code if a new computer or ...

Steam on Windows 7/8

The main reason I'm making this thread now instead of later is to stop the rumor that Steam will immediately stop working on 7/8 on January 1st, 2024. We've seen the exact same wording with XP, but you still can (kinda) use the client all these years later. It won't immediately break, it will slowly...

Java 8 (and 17) on XP

It's not the easiest or the best method, but it's the one I like to use. I use AdoptOpenJDK, and up to release 8u242 works. However you will need to mod it. For XP x64: https://github.com/AdoptOpenJDK/openjdk8-binaries/releases/download/jdk8u242-b08/OpenJDK8U-jre_x64_windows_hotspot_8u242b08.msi For...

Minecraft on HD 4000 (and 4600(?)) under Windows XP

I'm going to be more straight to the point here since I know more about the issue. Rendering menus(?) causes Minecraft's performance to just die with the HD 4000. I've tried it on both my T430, and a 3770K desktop, and both have this issue. I'm not quite sure what version of graphics driver I used (...
