Never Steam Builds On Windows 7 : Discussion Thread

Unread post by SatoshiHikari »

is there a way to get this to work? I know steam works on vista (the 2018 repack version) but it's an old version and is missing features so my question is would this work? If anyone could help with this it would be much appreciated

Modern Steam On Vista Extended Kernel?

how did you get Steam working on vista? I tried and almost got there but it wouldn’t open the actual UI and load my library, only got as far as to get stuck on Updating Steam configuration…

I haven't really gotten around to looking at this, but I think I can either get it mostly/fully working, or a weird big picture only client.

So latest Steam crashes before it can even give the not supported error. Don't think this will be easy.
