I recently discovered a Russian project aimed at modifying Minecraft Bedrock Edition.
The project's goal is to modify Minecraft Bedrock Edition and port it to the Win32 platform. These builds are designed to allow developers to create mods and custom clients, as they include a mod loader.
These versions of Minecraft run fully on Windows 7 without requiring any form of Extended Kernel. By using One-Core-API-Binaries], I have successfully run it on Windows XP.
The founder and owner of the MDLC project, who is also the author of the McChinaDev repack (shown in the second screenshot), provided additional information regarding the legality and features of these repacks:
Legality:
- The modified versions are based on Minecraft Bedrock Edition Win32, which is distributed for free by Netease.
- The official, unmodified version can be downloaded from Netease's own servers:

- Because the base game is free, modified versions like McChinaDev are not considered piracy.
- Windows 7 Support: Starting from MCBE 1.20, official support for Windows 7 was dropped. The developers had to modify the EXE using CFF Explorer, adjust DLL dependencies, and remove incompatible code to restore compatibility.
- Performance & Privacy Improvements:
- Netease telemetry has been removed, preventing data from being sent to their servers and reducing game startup time by 2-3 times.
- Gameplay Additions (not present in MCBE UWP):
- Debug tools: F3 menu, debug stick, chunk borders, etc.
- AutoModificator (an open-source tool by MDLC):
- Modify piston push limits for massive contraptions, tunnel builders, and large gates.
- Increase world height to 2048 blocks, allowing for skyscrapers and massive builds.
- AutoModificator is included in the "!Mods" folder of the repack.
