Kinda rolling on the floor laughing.
No, not really funny "ha ha", just something I've never witnessed in my 40+ years of computers and web sites.
MSFN just hit 100 consecutive spam posts (no, not by me, I just sat and watched 'em pile on).

It reminded me to when I stumbled at a newsgroup archive on Google Groups while I was reading about history of Vietnamese encodings before Unicode and all I saw was hundreds of pages of anti-communist spams

What I find weird is this forum gets hit by spam from time to time, but it's weird. Always MMOexp in the title and they appear to just be guides for modern slop games that don't run on pre-10. I don't understand what the point of sending them here is, or what they gain from it.

Usually I've caught them not long after they get posted. I keep up on new posts, but I normally don't formulate a reply until I feel like I have the time to do so.

Possible.
During the spam assault (all TurboTax and QuickBooks), I basically watched them delete them several at a time and they kept being added WHILE they were in-process of deleting them. A few minutes into that, they did a "maintenance mode". It didn't last very long (10/15 minutes?). Today's "maintenance mode" has been going on for at least 3 hours.

It was down for over 12 hours.
And as we speak, they are getting spammed left-and-right with AIRLINE TICKET CANCELLATION spams.
Maybe I shouldn't call it "left-and-right", it's 'only' seven consecutive spams in the last 20 minutes.
Enough for me to exit MSFN for now, return later and cross my fingers.

Ten more consecutive flight cancellation spams, and that was without "watching" for them.
I don't think that they "fixed" anything, I think they're just trying to stay on top of removing them so that we don't see a HUNDRED consecutive spams.
