Due to server slowness, downtime, and other issues, Eclipse will be moving to a more stable and efficient platform that should result in much better stability. There is no timeline for this yet, just want you to know what's happening with all the downtime and I have a plan to fix it.

I'm a sucker for userstyles and userscripts!
I like to "standardize" / "normalize" all of my frequently-visited web sites.
My Pluto and Tubi and now Plex all basically LOOK IDENTICAL to each other.
Plex also required a userscript to REPLACE its "fullscreen" with a *WINDOWED* player.
I kind of "hate" fullscreen because I'm always doing half a dozen things at the same time and don't want anything taking up the full screen.

It's given me something to do, lol.
I now have a userscript that can skip forward and back any video on all of my streaming sites.
And *without* being redirected to the "on-demand" section of the streaming site.
And playback "speed" control. I have a habit of liking to play movies at 0.85 playback speed.
Slows it down just a tiny bit that voice pitch is mostly unaffected but fast-paced scenes now ALLOW ME TIME to read the closed captions.

Season 3 of "School Spirits".
I used to have a Paramount+ subscription but let it expire.
I tend to roll in and out of subscriptions because I learned a long time ago that I will "binge" on one and never watch the others.
So I make all efforts to not have any "overlapping" subscriptions.
Perfect timing!
I have two episodes remaining on Extant (via Netflix).
But Extant is ALSO on Paramount+.
So time to cancel Netflix and subscribe to Paramount+.

Masters Of Horror.
Sure, its mostly for when I just need something that doesn't apply to anything like religion or politics. Mostly background noise. My TV is behind me and I like to be on the computer and have Law And Order in the background behind me. I need my computers to reach out to like minded folks and to discuss computers here.

Which TV shows are you watching?
So far, so good.
I'm 30 minutes in on "Secrets in the Walls" on Popcornflix and ZERO ads.
But I do have to assume that they know it's my FIRST DAY so they want me to come back tomorrow and the next day.
Or... Maybe one of my uBlock lists is working so great that Popcornflix is "ad-free"

Sorry I didn't catch this sooner. I've been using Popcornflix for about 4 years now with no complaints ... and yes ... with all the uBlock lists I have going - I also get zero ads. I haven't seen Secrets in the Walls yet. Any good?

I liked it.
Kind of a cross between "Fallen" (Denzel Washington) and "The Sixth Sense" (Bruce Willis).

One of the best series ever. Even though the final episodes are a bit "psychedelic" but that was the ambiance at the end of the sixties.

I already have a complaint! It's the only site I've ever bumped into (that I recall) that disables the F12 key to access Dev Tools.xperceniol_sal wrote: ↑14 Mar 2026, 22:01 I've been using Popcornflix for about 4 years now with no complaints ...
I use Dev Tools daily, can't live without out!
Found these as "fixes".
I'm using the first, shorter and more to the point. Second likely works as well, just seemed excessively long.
Both are userscripts where my slightly-above-average knowledge of javascript can "follow" and "see" what it is doing.
Both appear "safe", I just prefer the shorter of the two and prefer the "EventListener" over the "setInterval" method.
https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/400664-letmeusef12/code
https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/436250-allow-f12/code
The second also has a "feedback" post of a website that "does not work" and it does work with the first, so that was a bonus.
I didn't actually "test" the second.
Agreed! This will be my 4th or 5th time watching the complete series, start to finish, binge-watch all within a week or two.
It's one of those series that never gets old!

Also, while technically "par for the course", I always axe flashy GYRATING b&llsh#t promo "carasousels" that constantly animate, scroll, distract.xperceniol_sal wrote: ↑14 Mar 2026, 22:01 I've been using Popcornflix for about 4 years now with no complaints ...
But it's not like Popcornflix is the only streaming website that does this B&LLSH#T.
