Hello all, I have an MSDN ISO of Office 2010 RTM (14.0.4760.1000) whose x86 variant has SP2 slipstreamed into it, while the x64 variant does not have it. Now I don't need the x64 variant, but I don't know how to remove it from the install media in the right way. May I know how it can be removed?

I'm pretty sure the x86 and x64 folders are sperate, just cut out the x86 folder, which should have it's own setup.

Although, you should go with x64, if possible.

I dont see why it matters if your office program is 64 bit or not, so i see no reason to NOT cut out the x64. x86 will install on all, and it's not like an office program is going to be able to utilize any advantage x64 brings to the table.

x64 software has been more stable all around for me, so I prefer getting x64 versions of software, if possible.

I am unsure why there would be a correlation, and I certainly don't think I've noticed a difference with things I've used. But I suppose there could be some reasons unknown to me why some stuff might be more stable in a x64 build. I certainly do not know everything about that stuff.

I honestly can´t imagine that this is true. Some specific software even today requires the 32-bit version of MS Office because it seems to work better than the 64-bit version, and I agree. I had a lot of freezes and crashes with Office 2019 on Windows 10 (I know, it is horrible either way and I´m not using it anymore after I downgraded from to a multibootsystem with XP, Vista and 7 installed), but I had these problems way less with the 32-bit versions of office and I really don´t see any advantages to use the 64-bit version.

Yeah, maybe, but Office (2010, 2013, 2019) x86 is a lot more stable.
