Windows 11
The only thing that really stood out for me in the Windows 11 reveal is the Add Widgets button in the Windows Widgets. Everything else I honestly do not give a fuck about.

It looks like another MacOS ripoff if you ask me. I mean Microsoft surely could've done something new and unique.
Also appears to be full of even more bloatware and spyware than Windows 10 is
All of this new "revolutionary" gaming performance improving software seems bs to me too.

The load of fucking bullshit that 11 brings are the requirements.
There is no fucking need that my PC needs to have Coffee Lake or newer just to run Windows 11 which is essentially a reskinned version of 10. I am not going to go out and purchase Windows 11 for $3000 especially in this chip crisis. They can take that ISO they try to give me and shove it up their greedy ass. I've already told my family and friends to avoid this bullshit of an operating system. This is by far the worst shit I have ever seen Microsoft do. Not even Apple does this.

They're probably forcing TPM 2.0+ for telemetry and to reduce user control.
Old article, but TPM 2.0 and secure boot are kinda old.

I tried installing Win11 Pro N on VMware WS 12, but after restarting twice, the VM boots into the VHD, shows the bootscreen, displays 'Just a moment...' on the screen and then the display goes blank. Nothing happens after that.
Huge fan of Windows Vista, 7, 8.x, XP, 2K, ME and Linux, especially Zorin Linux, Ubuntu, elementaryOS and Mint.
I hate Windows 10. I am the last person one could ever convince to downgrade to Windows 10.

I had the same issue, make sure you have Windows 10 selected as the OS version because apparently that's why most people have issues.Win10-Hater wrote: ↑26 Jun 2021, 04:48 I tried installing Win11 Pro N on VMware WS 12, but after restarting twice, the VM boots into the VHD, shows the bootscreen, displays 'Just a moment...' on the screen and then the display goes blank. Other than that, I guess try KVM because Virtualbox doesn't work at all.

I cannot stress this meme enough because of the telemetry on this OS. Reject Windows 11, return to Windows 8.Tonny52 wrote: ↑26 Jun 2021, 03:28 The load of fucking bullshit that 11 brings are the requirements.

Ya sure? I main 8x and telemetry ISNT required unlike Win10.
I think Win7 had telemetry updates too.

Edited the thread to only be about 21996. If you guys have discoveries about 22000.51 or any newer Insider build, please make a new thread about it.

I think they removed free upgrades directly from 7 and 8.x. To upgrade and keep your files, I think you need to upgrade to 10, then 11. I would wait until RTM though. I could also be wrong.dastoopidfurry wrote: ↑30 Jun 2021, 13:24 oh cool, i hope 8x users get a free upgrade once it comes out (not if i even like it, it's living trash ngl)

Windows 11 (build 21996)
Finally got Windows 11 Pro installed on a VM and also on my secondary laptop.
First impressions? IMO, It's both better and worse than Win10.
Better because it 's many times faster than Win10 and has somewhat good-looking transparency effects and animations and that it is quite easier to debloat than Win10, and worse because it demands more from the end user's PC.
