I’d just like to interject for a moment. What you’re refering to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/LInux, or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. If I'm not mistaken, the dGPU on some laptops actually acts as a sort of accelerator. Meaning the iGPU renders everything on-screen, but the dGPU switches on intelligently depending on workload.

tl;dr. Intel and NoVideo don't want you to be able to choose one or the other. They act as one.

The Chemical Plant Zone is overrated, I much prefer the Sun Valley Zone. That's just me though.

expect it to be slow, laggy and flicker like a broken lightbulb having a seizure even on a good PC after ten seconds of usage.
10 seconds? Perhaps your computer is better than mine then, because subjecting FF 52/similar's JS engine to that shit here goes full seizure mode in 1/10 of a second.

Saw another thread showing the forum loaded from the 360's browser, so I figured I may as well. https://i.postimg.cc/TdVfqBfr/image.png Do pardon the camera. My CFW'd system can take XMB screenshots, but the keybinding interferes with the browser's own controls. Must say, it renders the phpbb theme ...

Honestly, the less association with those bums, the better. I don't agree with them dictating what constitutes a 'fork', but I imagine not having their official forum and homepage bookmarked would go a long way in causing less ruckus lol. I'd really love it if their questionable internal extensions ...

I didn't pay any mind to a performance increase, if there is one. They said to ditch the VGUI (An extention internally developed for visuals such as the download statistics above i persume) and rely more on javascript along with plugins, and JS is known to suck system resources heavily. Kind of wor...

Ouch. I'm terribly sorry to hear your friend had this experience. Few things in this world are scarier than ransomware. Unfortunately, in your friend's case, this is to be expected. While the virus responsible for encrypting his files may be gone after a clean install, that won't change the state of...

For Intel, you're better off getting an -f series CPU. You're not going to be able to take advantage of the onboard graphics. So from the sounds of it, you'll have to rely on generic drivers until you get a discrete video card. Check Craigslist and Marketplace for some low power Quadro. A k420 or si...

are you planning on actually organizing a team to do any of this? or is this just another "cool mockups and ideas" thread?

Well after revisiting 2010 again after years of using 2007, I've returned to 2007 once more. 2010 is a fine product, but something about the interface did feel off to me. The full screen file menu as opposed to a small hamburger menu for one. Almost felt like a slight prelude to Windows 8? heh. The ...

So MSFN is basically dead from what i can tell. The same could be said for MDL. Thats why i think everyone should focuse on this forum. The Eclipse forum marks kinda a new beginning and i would love if more people from MSFN or MDL would switch to it. So yeah i also kinda agree on that. Its dead now...

Yes, I did sell the AMD card for insane profit. I feel guilty about making $600 from a card I bought for $370. My main problem is that I don't know what to do when I start wanting to upgrade my PC. I am basically using the last well-supported generation of Intel (Z390+ is a little harder to work wi...

Moving back may be easier than you think. What are your computer's specs? I have a couple of PCs. Heres a list: Main PC Custom: i7-9700K, 16GB DDR4, GTX 1050 Ti, Gigabyte Z370-HD3. 250GB NVMe, 2TB HDD, 500GB SSD. I'm not sure my triple monitor setup will work well with 7 though. Currently on WIn10 ...

Why not just use 7 or 8.x at this point? I actually have been attempting to move back to 7 / 8.x over the past year almost. Around July last year I started occasionally dual booting and have tried out 7 on my PC a lot more often than I did back before July 2020. It's been taking a while to "lo...

Back in 2018, I got a 24" S-IPS 1920x1200 HP LP2475w with a March 2013 manufacture date sealed in the box. With it a lightly used VA 1600x1200 HP LP2065. With the monitor arm, I spent like $65 total. God bless that ebay seller lmao. You can pry 16:10 from my dead, cold fingers 8-) I wish I had...

docR, did you forget you have mod perms and can edit RT1's FAQ post? :P
I find it inappropriate to edit information pertaining to a project that doesn't belong to me. That's entirely up to RoyTam1 to document as he sees fit. I might sticky a sep thread somewhere though.

8.0 is considerably easy to activate... erm, by alternate means. It's also far less aggressive to user mods, especially when it comes to branding files. I just had the most difficult time getting it updated to a later patch leve. This ISO will certainly see some usage here. Many thanks ^^

Office 2007 Enterprise all the way :3 2010 is a close second for me. Access/Outlook were improved in 2010, but I preferred the interface and activation method otherwise in 2007 I too prefer 2007's activation method, but 2010's dark theme looks better than 2007's on Vista IMO, and that's what is my ...

Ever since around v. 2020.12, there's in an incompatibility with Classic's AccessibleHandler.dll on certain Windows patch levels. This causes the checkbox for Multiprocess mode to be greyed out. Force-enabling this via boolean will result in an immediate appcrash at startup. The solution, as pointed...
