Left-handers and small-handers unite! We have suffered for far too long! Wasn't there some debate because of a lack of small phones, which would be better suited for women's hands? The annoyance of phones being too large nowadays certainly was out there. Are button phones an option? Every child coul...

The most reliable car must be the Volvo 240. It bounces across the potholes and despite its age can be found quite often here and there. In East Germany, the Lada Niva is still very popular. Looks like all car manufacturers bloat their cars with unnecessary stuff nowadays, even Lada does. So no favo...

Ah, you found an key activation program as well.

I was about to write about trying out the search terms "Windows Activation Scripts". This leads to a developer being called Massgravel. His scripts has been online for quite a while and Microsoft doesn't seem to bother to remove them.

In a similar way to Windows XP, Windows 7 will need some configuration to be useable in the future. Windows 7 is quite chatty by default, so I did cut all Microsoft-related traffic off my network, including updates. So no problems with nagging screens here. It's not suitable for online banking anywa...

On the low-spec end of the scale, I think Windows XP is useful on eveything above 1 GHz. Still, running it on a 400 MHz Celeron is worth a try, but that machine would perform better with Windows 98. Maybe someone who finds a trashy machine from the year 2000 wonders about it. My favourite piece of s...

What about hardware builders who don't care about Windows 11? Will small niche computers like the Raspberry Pi be an option then? It depends of course, how much CPU power is needed. But seeing many of these small computers appear, it can't be that hard for them to make reasonable numbers of proper b...

The ability to voice-chat isn't enough, right? This old Teamspeak 2 is such a good piece of software, running on everything between Windows 98 and Windows 10, also in a Virtual Machine on Linux. Unfortuneatly it's closed-source and the existing code can't be modified.

Virtual Machines? Of course they aren't 100% perfect and they need more cpu power than a real computer. Lately, I tested Teamspeak 2 (the voice-chat program that runs on everything between Win98 and Win10) on Linux. And it worked within a WinXP virtual machine, that can connect to the internet. The ...

Remote access of other PCs is another task, where you could need a large monitor. Else, your customers surprise you with their "current" resolutions. Using Windows 98 with a 16:9 monitor was a bad desicion I can recall, because with some games, the screen got confused and chose the wrong s...

Telemetry is like a buzzword for us, rejecting the current Windows path. I think it was rather used for Formula One cars sending data over to their engineers instead of computers sending data to their manufacturer (from my perspective as a non-native english speaker of course). Maybe the sign-up pro...

The current sign-up process is somewhat funny but it sets the bar quite high. I think it would improve if it allows one mistake though. Let's say, there are people around here that only know current Windows 10 from its interface, that disgusts them. And they have never used it actually, nor are they...

@Plokzig: I hope you find some time to go out to the park and feed the ducks! The people out there aren't all that bad. Most chaps and gals don't even have a clue, what an Incel is, nor do they know someone who changed their gender. Except in Berlin maybe! But you're correct, the internet definetly ...
