I already integrated hundreds of SATA drivers into the project before Beta 1 was even released, I'd add more drivers but I'm afraid I'd add so many that the ISO doesn't fit on a CD. As for an integration guide, literally any tutorial for 2000/XP/2003 works with XP Delta anyway, so I don't really see...

Apparently this place got revived, so free advertising time. Windows XP Delta Edition is the project I've been working on for the past year and a half. Its purpose is to fix inconsistencies, add back lost features and programs, and restore the beta 2 look and feel (builds 2428-2464). The optional Ex...

From what I've heard, Microsoft is requiring Windows 11 laptops to sell with webcams, not that the user needs one.
Duct tape sales are about to skyrocket.

You'll either need a custom theme or disable the new theme.
I wouldn't recommend disabling Proton. Mozilla will 100% remove it at some point. Custom userchrome.css with Proton on honestly looks better than Photon did anyway, at least for me.

Pentium 33 is the minimum I think? And try the Windows 98 2 color setting on it too
If you want to try Pentium 33, go ahead. Also, monochrome is 9x only.

https://i.imgur.com/w3TteGa.png I have installed Longhorn 3683 under a Pentium 75, 64MB RAM, and a base VGA graphics adapter. You may think this is just a slow Longhorn build, but you're underestimating how slow this really is. This was an upgrade from Windows XP, and the upgrade took about 2 hours...

Any theme from Windows 8 builds earlier than 8400 (E.G. Windows 8 Build 8277) does not work. After applying the theme, you get a black screen (even with the lock screen disabled), requiring you to load up a Windows 8 USB and use System Restore from it to get it working again. Simply deleting the th...

This probably shouldn't go here, and it probably would end up out of date soon enough, but Windows 11 seems to be making Windows 10 even worse. How? Just look at 22000.51. It looks good, the return of the startup sound is nice, and its wallpapers are fucking amazing. HOWEVER , when you dig beneath t...

oh cool, i hope 8x users get a free upgrade once it comes out (not if i even like it, it's living trash ngl) I think they removed free upgrades directly from 7 and 8.x. To upgrade and keep your files, I think you need to upgrade to 10, then 11. I would wait until RTM though. I could also be wrong.

It's literally just Windows 98 with a few new programs and real mode DOS removed. I call it Windows 98TE for a reason.

8.1 has a bit of telemetry, and some kernel changes for better and worse.
It removes some old code from Redpill and Windows 7 as well so you can't get something like Ex7forW8 on 8.1. That's probably the big advantage 8.0 has over 8.1 imo.

The only thing that really stood out for me in the Windows 11 reveal is the Add Widgets button in the Windows Widgets. Everything else I honestly do not give a fuck about.

Now that Eclipse is back up, I can show this off. Any window that sets DwmExtendFrameIntoClientArea to -1 will break under Windows 11. That basically is any window that uses Aero glass on the entire window. Some apps that set this are the Gadget picker, CustomizerGod, and Windows Mobility Center. Un...

Windows 11 discoveries, Windows 10 Explorer and Start Menu edition. It mostly works the same as Windows 10's explorer, but here's some things I found while using it under 11. A feature I said 11 doesn't allow anymore is a small taskbar. I was wrong. This is possible, but only through regedit for now. Two DWORDs in HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced control it, TaskbarSi and TaskbarSmallIcons. TaskbarSi is not there by default so create it fi...

It's another XP to Vista situation guys. Many computers still don't have TPM modules and even then many computers still have hard drives and 4GB of ram. Companies will do another "Windows 11 Capabalel!!!!!!11!" when in reality that system is an HP Stream from 2013 with a hard drive, ancie...

So, I guess I'll a few obscure things people might've missed. The new taskbar does not allow you to unlock, move, resize, decombine icons, or enable labels anymore, but the Windows 10 21H1 explorer can be used to get around that for now. Forcing the new taskbar to one of the sides puts Explorer in a...

Fun fact: This same thing happens with 7 beta builds as well, I might make a new thread with that some time down the road. Imagine making a useless new thread for this, I'll just post them here. Unlike 8.x and 10, these mostly work both ways, and with beta builds. Mix and match them if you can and ...

Ladies and gentlemen I have brilliant news: I just found that Microsoft quietly announced the retirement of Windows 10 to be 2025. No idea how true that is but idk.
That's just the EOL date for Windows 10 RTM LTSB. Unless Windows 11 is real, (which I doubt) Windows 10 won't be going anywhere.
