So the avatar you sent was 105x111, I resized and cropped to 100x100 and it applied fine.

I don't think MSFN is just dead. I'd assume another temporarily outage. I did some looking since I know some stuff after doing wacky server stuff and they appear to still have the domain, just the server hosting it is down likely.

I wouldn't really say there's much use. Sure having in box copy is cool, but there's no real reason to have it. You can get keys, and if not, 7/8 OEM keys can still activate with downgrade rights.

psst you can disable the activation services while the trial is active and it stays activated.

If the VRAM was running too hot, I'd assume it would show in more games. If it was unstable, you'd see artifacts, not lagging. You could probably get some thermal pads for VRAM, and heatsinks for back VRAM if there is any and see what happens. Should be like $10 at most from like AliExpress.

The PC will be going anyway sometime in the next year or two (assuming it doesn't totally go out beyond economical repair beforehand, I've kludged it to death and it still has some problems) and I will probably consult this or a similar forum for board selection.
