Need Help with searching for a good Windows 7 Laptop

I found this Dell Precision m6600 on eBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/284281396902?hash=item42307ddea6:g:e~cAAOSw57hgizpA IDK where you can find a good GPU. NOTE: The seller put Windoze 10 on it (what a bad decision!) but you can always replace it. Sandy Bridge doe, also, it's more expensive than a 8...

I may not be able to use aero transparency Why? Discord likes to lag the system like crazy even though all monitors are the same refresh rate, does not matter what PC i use or what driver I use. Happens to me all the time. I have to turn aero transparency off or use Basic to get around it, or use 8...

Windows Vista vs. Windows 7 speed

Vista appears to boot slower on my laptop, but I don't think I'll find any other differences unless I timed the two.

You could upgrade to the 8770W's "successor", the zBook. Vista will be a bit fucked because Haswell, but it should have everything needed.

You could also try going for a Skylake and Pascal laptop, but do your research and make sure it allows you to disable Optimius before buying.

Yes, I did sell the AMD card for insane profit. I feel guilty about making $600 from a card I bought for $370. My main problem is that I don't know what to do when I start wanting to upgrade my PC. I am basically using the last well-supported generation of Intel (Z390+ is a little harder to work wi...

So, if I did this right, I should have moved this topic to the Vista category. while also leaving a link to it in the browsers category. Thought the topic would be more relevant and have better reach here.

Back in 2018, I got a 24" S-IPS 1920x1200 HP LP2475w with a March 2013 manufacture date sealed in the box. With it a lightly used VA 1600x1200 HP LP2065. With the monitor arm, I spent like $65 total. God bless that ebay seller lmao. You can pry 16:10 from my dead, cold fingers 8-) the seller n...

Even though I have used Windows 10 for about 40% of my life, I still hate how it does things compared to Vista, 7, 8.x. I first tried out 10 two days after its release (7/31/2015) on my old laptop which came with Windows 8.0. Back then I was too young to even care about problems, but from what I re...

I once bought a Dell monitor, after I plugged it in, I heard a loud bang, but the monitor still came on, then like a second later, it turned back off.

If you've ever used Discord on Vista with Firefox, one of the first things you'd notice is that the font is kinda scuffed. 4's and E's are missing a line and there are other odd looking characters, however, I've found a fix for this. How to apply the fix: If you're using Waterfox Classic or older us...

Or just main 7 with a 10 VM.
