Re: Wanting to see how Firefox 3.6.28 works

For IE versions, with regards to HTTPS, its not so much the version of IE but the ciphers of the OS. For example, IE8 on Win7 supports more ciphers than IE8 on XP, particularly ECC ones. Similarly, IE6 on XP suppports more than IE6 on 98.

Re: Roytam1 Browser Installer - Project Thread

Doesn't RT1 have a custom build of SeaMonkey based on the GNU IceApe branding on the UXP backport he forked from PaleMoon? Honestly unsure how he manages to keep on top of so many different, similarly-built browsers, he's either otherwise unemployed or somehow has a lot of spare time... either way ...

Re: Wanting to see how Firefox 3.6.28 works

IE9 running in IE7 mode barely works Have no way to test true IE7 because of the TLS 1.1 requirement TLS (or even SSL) is not required to access and use this site. Don't know what Quirks mode is, but it looks to be a more broken IE7 For Trident, particularly older (but not ancient) versions, there ...

Re: Netbooks

From 2011(ish?) until feb or mar 2015 we had a HP Mini netbook as the main PC. It ran windows 7 Home Premium, had an Intel Atom and Nvidia ion graphics. It wasnt fast by any means, but it ran just fine. I think the retail price on that was a bit north of USD $300. During that timeframe, the 3G Cellu...

Roytam1 Browser Installer - Project Thread

I figured I'd give this subforum some love. This text is largely stolen from the MSFN version of this thread, but whatever. This post will be "more official" later, but here's the thread for this project of mine. The current browser installer version is 4.00 Preview 1 Fix 1. I will soon be...

pokeguy wrote: 12 Jan 2021, 23:42 Do you think when Google drops Chromium support for Windows 7 they'll drop 8.1 support at the same time just like they did with Vista when they dropped support for XP?
Yes. Aboslutely yes. I'd be utterly shocked if they were not dropped simultaneously.

Re: Wanting to see how Firefox 3.6.28 works

It doesnt look as "aero-ish" as it is in a modern browser (I almost prefer it that way), and the color selector tool for the site theme doesn't work, but thats par for the course when you use IE8 for stuff. Purple is my favorite color, anyway.

Re: Wanting to see how Firefox 3.6.28 works

About the only thing that seems weird is that I'm getting logged out really fast. Im not sure if this is specific to just this browser, as I've only tried this one so far.
