Due to server slowness, downtime, and other issues, Eclipse will be moving to a more stable and efficient platform that should result in much better stability. There is no timeline for this yet, just want you to know what's happening with all the downtime and I have a plan to fix it.

More details on the case perhaps? The ISO you used could be damaged.

Damaged ISO/disc, burned incorrectly, or hacked ISO.

Make sure it matches the MSDN hash for the corresponding version and SKU of Windows 2000.

(I had the idea to post a sarky response but couldn't be arsed...)

I believe he used the updated VL 2000 iso by win32 (https://archive.org/details/w-2-k-pro-vl-fullslip) which should work flawlessly, tried to search on what could it be but it just gets wierder.

I'd recommend redownloading via wget if the download is corrupted. archive.org handles browser downloads absolutely appallingly.

Also, what media is being used to install from? (USB/CD-ROM/etc), I imagine this can cause trouble if USB drivers aren't well supported on Windows 2000 and OP's chipset.
