Windows 7 Media Foundation for Vista; mfplatmod

Unread post by K4sum1 »

You might read the title and think doesn't this already exist? Well yes, but I found that now with the x86 portion of the extended kernel being so good, you can use the x86 files as well. So I made a modified setup that adds the x86 files. It's attached to this post.

Apparently you can use it to get Roblox working on Vista, if that's your thing. Might also work with some games or codec packs or other video related programs that are x86. The x64 portion is same as the official version, so no change there.

UPD: Now Roblox does not work on Vista due to the missing function EventSetInformation in advapi32.dll

Hmm, did they also drop 7? That's an 8+ function.
