Due to server slowness, downtime, and other issues, Eclipse will be moving to a more stable and efficient platform that should result in much better stability. There is no timeline for this yet, just want you to know what's happening with all the downtime and I have a plan to fix it.

How do I connect to IKEv2 VPN using Windows Server (2008 R2 and later)?

This is something someone using Windows Server as a workstation might want to do, but I can't find anything helpful about it. Everything I've found is either very confusing or is about having it act as a VPN server instead of just being a client. If anyone knows what needs to be installed or done to make Windows Server work with IKEv2 VPNs, I would appreciate the info and make a post about it.

2008 R2 or later is specified as only 7+ can use IKEv2 afaik, unless something like Strongswan bypasses Windows VPN, but I find that possibility unlikey. (Strongswan for Windows is only officially offered in source though, and can't find it prebuilt anywhere online)

OpenIKEv2 is written in C++, while SoftEther is pure C

Anyway SoftEtherVPN is open sourced.
