0. Tested will latest EK, but u need ntoskrnl from may 2021
https://mega.nz/file/voZjSZyL#E2_9tyZlEPV8jDIL1QPzEbDujbw2NW2Po8ycwneFL8E
After u made everything ready u need to download these
https://mega.nz/file/W4h0SBiT#cWDiDTTvnLNeKWadIzohzsI4MgJoWiO08V2gph2d-e8
https://mega.nz/file/qwRgxaJK#UmCmGUA6yvNsj6jolJiVz27Zjnyz_qZGn3FGQr-7-gI
1. From winload_ci_patcher.zip u need to launch "setup.cmd" with admin permissions
2. Download NVIDIA driver installer (i had used 472.12, but u can use other one), repack it on any folder
3. Patch nv_dispi.inf: change all NTamd64.6.1 to NTamd64.6.0, then save file
4. Install driver with "Have disk", but dont reboot
5. From nvidia_driver_patcher_vista.zip run "elevate.cmd" with admin permissions
6. Reboot
7. From nvidia_driver_patcher_vista.zip run "nvidia_patcher.cmd" with admin permissions
8. Reboot
After to do all steps, driver should works
P.S. maybe u dont need to make 2 reboots by running nvidia_patcher.cmd before rebooting, didnt tested

If this needs original ntoskrnl from may2021, then how does it even work with extended kernel?

At best win7+ programs that use extended kernel functions in ntoskrnl won't work and at worst also others because other extended kernel dlls like kernel32 or ntdll could need extended functions in ntoskrnl (idk if they do but they very well may).

is it possible to use this 2021 ntoskrnl version the same way as ntoskrn8 is used ie. having a different name and setting it by editing files with CFF explorer?

OFFTOPIC:
The funny thing is, I came across this leak before even knowing this thing existed.
There was no announcement on MSFN or Legacydev boards and even discussion about this breakthrough at all

Can confirm that it works perfectly on my install (no Extended Kernel as per instructions), using RTX 3060 with 474.44 drivers. I'd recommend supporting win32 on Patreon, despite this leak, because of how amazing their work is anyways. =)

Unfortunately, Vulkan does not work (and of course, no DX12) so I can't really showcase any proper RTX software. But, 3D acceleration works and Aero works beautifully. And of course, 4K @ 240Hz.

I reached out to win32 on patreon and he said that the extended kernel ntoskrnl.exe is not actually needed for anything except those old modified NVIDIA drivers so it's all good

No. I was unable to install it through the normal NVIDIA setup program (came up with “unknown” errors), and had to manually install it through Device Manager. That being said, using older driver versions may work better in this regard, but I haven’t experimented with that yet.

I was experimenting with installing older drivers through setup and 474.30 on top with device manager. To install older drivers you need to add your RTX30 series gpu to an old inf (can be done easier with NVCleaninstall)

I wasn't able to launch setups of versions 417.35 and newer, an older one I had lying around was 391.35 (this one hangs on boot) so I went for 385.12 next (and than installed 474.30 with the patcher on top),

And with this setup I got NVIDIA container service and control panel working however nvidia contol panel only displays one completely irrelevant option about laptop power saving and none of the good stuff
