Eclipse Community

Due to server slowness, downtime, and other issues, guests can no longer search the forum or view user accounts. At some point in the future Eclipse will be moving to a more stable and efficient platform that should result in much better stability and the lifting of these restrictions. There is no timeline for this yet, just want you to know what's happening with all the downtime and I have a plan to fix it.

My scrolling window capture narrows the page and truncates the right and left and only caps a narrow band down the center.
Time to update my third-party tool? Possible.
Yes, it looks like the emoji-test page from my first link is a nightmare to capture as an image. The built-in tool of Firefox truncates a large part of the bottom and the other tools I've suggested also failed to capture the whole page.

so I go the .pdf route today.
24.9 MB (25,563 KB) file size to capture those d@mn ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY PAGES.
Compress it to a .7z and it's only 7.03 MB (7,206 KB) but I ran into a brick F'in wall the last time I tried to attach a .7z
So did I, and it worked.
Mine is 15 970 KB, 8 328 KB once compressed to 7z and yes, I also got the HTTP Error as soon as I try to attach it.
Even a 1.4 MB file failed to upload but a 932 KB file passed through. So it looks like the limit is set at about 1 MB but that's not your problem, I'm saying it for the forum admin(s).

Anyway, thanks for your efforts trying to do it :)

Probably K4sum1 failed to configure php.ini correctly to accept a bigger post_max_size/upload_max_size.

No, I specifically made a note about that and configured it. Server is just fucking weird.

Those are configured correctly. It's the server's fault.

In case you missed it (because I "talk a lot", lol), MV3 is *one of the reasons* that I *hate* uBO force-included in recent 'fox forks.
Although, yeah, I probably (probably) shouldn't complain about that UNTIL (it will happen eventually, IMO) Firefox/Forks no longer support MV2.
The version included in r3dfox and in the Firefox addon store is MV2 though. There is a uBO Lite that is MV3, and from what I've heard it works pretty well and can even be better than MV2 uBO, but I haven't tried it.
Anyway, it looks like this will soon be obsolete:

Does disabling smooth scrolling work on Firefox 148? I'm trying out FireDragon 12.9.1 (based on Fx 148), doesn't work there.

The only conclusion I can draw from my recent testing is that both Chromium and Firefox are even more useless than the last time I tried them. Like sitting in a car you hate.

Chromium is borderline pathetic, zero usability features, doesn't even have native tab load on demand. Can't have simple "unload tab" command on the tab context menu. It deliberately ignores directive in proxy.pac that says connect to localhost through proxy. And still, all extensions button crammed into one corner.

And Firefox, useless Chrome wannabe with even higher RAM wastage. CustomCSSforFx...dead, most of the remaining extensions like DownThemAll!, Norwell History...dead.

Etc. etc. etc.

Commented out bunch of things in firedragon.cfg in install dir and smooth scrolling can be normally disabled now. I suspect Smooth Fox section was responsible.
