This ISO was created by mintel, I'm just posting the link here and some basic info about it.

The ISO is Windows Vista x64 updated to the 2017 EOS + SHA-2. It includes the Vista Extended Kernel, USB 3 drivers, VC++, .NET 3.5 and 4.6, TLS 1.2, Windows Ultimate Extras, and more.

The current version uses an outdated version of the extended kernel from October 26th 2021, but it's better than nothing.

(Yes this is Google Drive, which is awful, I will be mirroring this to archive.org soonish.)

I eventually want to do this and integrate NVMe, but I'm not sure how to integrate drivers for Vista.

Which NVMe are you going to integrate?, because I've had little to no success with all I tried and I don't know of any actually good one

I've tried George King's and Chinese that came in a pack with USB3 drivers, but they didn't work sadly

My hardware is pretty new - 12th gen Intel

I've found this driver to work for me. It's the Windows 7 driver in the NVMe update but made to work on Vista. It works stock even.

What is your hardware? I tried on vmware for now and it didn't work

VMware NVMe does not work at all before 10 (or maybe 8). It will cause Windows to just not boot if it recognizes the NVMe drive.

I installed Vista on a VM with SATA connection, added second disk connected as NVME, installed this driver to the nvme controller (it didn't work yet), than plugged in Vista VM's virtual drive and a physical nvme drive to a Linux VM, than dd Vista virtual drive to physical drive.

Surprisingly Vista managed to seamlessly recognize that it's suddenly on an NVME drive and it works perfectly as a boot drive now! :)

Do you happen to know if this driver supports HMB (using RAM as cache for dram-less SSDs)? normally I check that with HWinfo but this time it doesn't see any disks plugged in with this driver.

From what I've read HMB is supported since Windows 10 Redstone1, so if that's Windows 7 driver it can't have it.
So it's better to buy SSDs with DRAM if you are planning to use Vista, but it's not important as long as those DRAM-less SSDs are not your system drive.
For reference On windows 7 and up HMB is supported by the Phison driver
