I just made my Windows 10 look nicer with OpenShell, and it worked pretty well. However, I also wanted to replace logonui.exe with Windows 7 one but now I just have a black screen. It was possible in earlier versions of Windows. Here´s how I did it: I downloaded the Windows 7 logonui.exe, which is definitely legit because I uploaded it myself from a Windows 7 machine, restartet, went into Automatic Repair, renamed the Windows 10 logonui.exe and then pasted the Windows 7 logonui.exe into system32. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks. |

Don't think it will easily work since it (i think) probably changed in functionality by a huge margin so it can't simply be replaced; by that i mean the loginui has long been replaced and is unlike before, more relient on explorer.exe because of course. |

So there´s no way of doing that? But anyway, this is already way better than normal Windows 10. |

It's not possible. You can't use logonui.exe from different releases on other ones, might be due to some changes in the kernel obviously. |
