As you can see from the screenshot on the Show your desktop thread, I am running Windows 7 on my HP Laptop 17 Series.
But how? This is a guide, and I'll show you how.
Firstly get k4sumi (r3tard)'s Windows 7 Updated v4 iso from here: https://board.eclipse.cx/viewtopic.php?t=401
YOU MUST BE DUALBOOTING WITH WINDOWS 8.0 OR LATER!
Install your newer OS first, then install Windows 7 onto another partition. Now, boot into your newer OS and replace this file:
/windows/System32/drivers/acpi.sys
with this:
https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/982809497254920264/1049827874049380362/acpi.sys
or else you are stuck on a BSOD loop!
then setup Windows 7 like you would.
Now let's get the drivers.
For ethernet download this and install it via device manager: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/982809497254920264/1049819539203956736/Realtek_Ethernet.zip
For graphics download the Win7/8.1 Ryzen APU driver (DOWNLOAD 21.11.1): https://winraid.level1techs.com/t/solution-win-7-win8-1-x64-ryzen-apu-video-driver/34203/1
Once you've done those two, the rest can be installed with Snappy Driver Installer Origin here: https://www.glenn.delahoy.com/snappy-driver-installer-origin/
I didn't include the trackpad driver because I use a USB mouse. But that might be in Snappy Driver Installer.
Due to server slowness, downtime, and other issues, Eclipse will be moving to a more stable and efficient platform that should result in much better stability. There is no timeline for this yet, just want you to know what's happening with all the downtime and I have a plan to fix it.
