It's still day 3, bud. Will be day 4 once we are in March 25.
Windows 7 was the last good operating system a user can use, since it's the best operating system, in my opinion. Windows 10 and 11, on the other hand, are ugh, so annoying.

This has happened in the past with zero communication and after a week or two it was back.

Hopefully they can afford the hosting fees. Does anyone know how to donate to them?

you may need to use archive.org to view old msfn.org content for the time being, lets hope if it can resume normal again.

this was said a day ago by trepredicus on reboot.pro about the situation
I haven't been able to get to it since Thursday. I sent a message to the MSFN X account but I don't have any other way to contact Xper. I'm presuming that Dave-H has let Xper know about it.

Xper's email is xper@msfn.org. I found it on their Facebook page. I sent an email, maybe others should too.

It's gone longer than this before @SatoshiHikari

That's why I think people should demand Xper is more accountable to his visitors. He seems to be a recluse. Even YouTube influencers are more communicative.

He could also have personal stuff going on, work, life kids, preventing him from taking care of whatever brought the server down.

I messaged xper about the issue; apparently there is a massive datacenter outage that is to blame. I have no further details at the moment, he doesn't say very much. A search of my own based on what was said led me to this; I assume all these people are suffering from the same problem.

As distressing as these issues are, I doubt we can "demand" anything of xper.. I think his life situation and priorities lie elsewhere these days. I'm just glad he hasn't decided to shut the place down.

Probably best not to make that info public. I doubt it would help the situation in any way.

Good find! The ARIN RIPE NCC information points to the host being in a Velia datacenter.

Interesting. Luck of the search I guess lol.. I hadn't dug any deeper into the specifics of who and what was affected.

I tried to register over at reboot.pro as well to pass on the info but apparently one has to sign up through Twitter? eh wtf?

Huh, that is weird. I know when I made my account I just made an account. If I remember correctly, I did it through K-Meleon 74 which I know can't render Twitter anyways. I just do manual approval to stop spam. Kinda easy to tell.

Maybe, but the data should be resilient enough to be recoverable. I doubt they'd still be using ancient non-sealed hard drives.

Any decent data centre has backups in a safe place, I presume?
