Minecraft Windows 10 Edition (Bedrock Edition) on Windows 7 and XP

Hello Everyone,

I recently discovered a Russian project aimed at modifying Minecraft Bedrock Edition.

The project's goal is to modify Minecraft Bedrock Edition and port it to the Win32 platform. These builds are designed to allow developers to create mods and custom clients, as they include a mod loader.

These versions of Minecraft run fully on Windows 7 without requiring any form of Extended Kernel. By using One-Core-API-Binaries], I have successfully run it on Windows XP.

The founder and owner of the MDLC project, who is also the author of the McChinaDev repack (shown in the second screenshot), provided additional information regarding the legality and features of these repacks:

Legality:
  • The modified versions are based on Minecraft Bedrock Edition Win32, which is distributed for free by Netease.
  • The official, unmodified version can be downloaded from Netease's own servers:

    Code: Select all

    https://g79.gdl.netease.com/Win32.Netease.OGL.No.Launch.Release.netease_release_20240508_2.12.2.12.0.681719_full_patch.zip
  • Because the base game is free, modified versions like McChinaDev are not considered piracy.
Technical Features & Enhancements:
  • Windows 7 Support: Starting from MCBE 1.20, official support for Windows 7 was dropped. The developers had to modify the EXE using CFF Explorer, adjust DLL dependencies, and remove incompatible code to restore compatibility.
  • Performance & Privacy Improvements:
    • Netease telemetry has been removed, preventing data from being sent to their servers and reducing game startup time by 2-3 times.
  • Gameplay Additions (not present in MCBE UWP):
    • Debug tools: F3 menu, debug stick, chunk borders, etc.
    • AutoModificator (an open-source tool by MDLC):

The rules of this board do not allow me to do that, and I do not want to risk a ban, if you can get one of the community moderators to approve this then I will send you a link directly.

Actually, where are the rules of this forum located?

Hi Sectorfive.
I am the founder and owner of the MDLC project and also the author of one of the repacks in this post (second screenshot) McChinaDev. The game in the first screenshot is probably BetterDev or OptiCraft by OptiJuegos. I hasten to assure you that the distribution of links to McChinaDev does not contradict the rules of the forum, because this is not piracy. I can prove it.

The fact is that Netease (the creators of MCBE win32) distributes it for free, here is the official link to download the unmodified, original version: https://g79.gdl.netease.com/Win32.Netease.OGL.No.Launch.Release.netease_release_20240508_2.12.2.12.0.681719_full_patch.zip (as you can see, this is indeed the official link from Netease), so since Netease distributes its game for free, you can freely distribute links to my repack, because it is just a modification of the free game, which means it is not piracy.

Moreover, you have already done this, if you look closely at the second screenshot in your post, at the top you can see a link in the top line of information.
https://ibb.co/JdTjzwF
That's link to my MDLC archive of modified Chinese MCBE versions.

And I want to clarify the situation a little bit about the features of repacks. Starting from 1.20 MCBE win32 no longer supports Windows 7 by default, which is why OptiJuegos and I had to heavily modify the exe through cff explorer, including cutting out some dlls, adding other dlls and modifying them.
after that, we miraculously managed to make it work on Windows 7.
Some more features that are in the game but which are not in MCBE UWP - F3, debugstick, chunkboards and much more. In my repack, I also deleted the Netease telemetry, so no more data is sent to their server and this also accelerated the launch of the game 2-3 times. AutoModificator has also been added (My open source program https://github.com/Max-RM/AutoModificator), using it you can change the Piston Push Limit so that you can build a good and huge transport, huge gates, automatic tunnel builders (described in detail with examples here: https://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/minecraft/add-ons/3194503-eppl-a-mod-to-increase-piston-push-limit-from-12) and also increase the height of measurements to a height of 2048 so that you can build giant skyscrapers https://ibb.co/XSnGYgS. In my repack, AutoModificator is located in the folder "!Mods".

I hope you enjoyed my repack ;)

Sorry but MDLC project doesn't have any mirrors in internet, only our telegram archive.

We do not have enough resources to create our own website with an archive and the cost of maintaining it or buying services from another hosting company.
