Thank you, RebBeam, I'm glad I asked first. In that case I'd better stick with what I have that came pre-activated on my systems from the company. :tired: I have recovery CD's for both computers of mine and its XP Pro that the computers were manufactured with. One thing about linux is that you don't need a key. When the day comes that XP is not longer usable (at all) I'll likely go with Linux Mint.

Most likely this is XP x64 Volume, which only needs a key (no activation). I would put a key here but I don't think I'm supposed to, but Google for "xxxxx xp key" will turn up working ones. If however it's based on XP Pro OEM or XP Pro Retail, you can either convert it to volume (just a few files swapped with those from a volume ISO), or you can use my fork of xxxxx's activator which has support for activating XP (although idk if i'd be allowed to send that here)

Yeah, I don't want to see you get banned by posting something you shouldn't. I also hope people don't mention anything form the piracy sites. Don't worry about me - I'll be fine. :)

You said that this works for modern hardware. Would ethernet drivers and graphics drivers be supported? I’m pretty sure I’d need onecore api and legacy update right? I want to try running Teamfortress 2 online with this custom OS. This is my setup:

CPU
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-7500 CPU @ 3.40GHz

Motherboard
HP - 8298

Graphics Card
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti

I only tried in a VirtualBox VM and it would not allow me to install's VirtualBox's "3D support" when regular XP x64 does allow the "3D support" to install.
I'll revisit at a later date in case I did something wrong.
But that was my first-run experience with this custom XP x64.

Disregard. I forgot that it has to be installed in "safe mode".

this is only the first beta release so not everything is added yet but the next update plans to add more drivers and functionality in now (one-core-api will have to be manually downloaded as i will not be dealing with microsoft for using modified files)

A question.
In the pics above you are using a Ryzen computer with XP. do you have basic drivers (video/sound) for XP? or thats a virtual machine?

This device driver may be required to complete Windows Setup.
