The "official" answer from both AMD and from Microsoft is *no*.
But I leave the internet searches to you, I read at least two dozen and none of them would give a yes for that combo.
And of course all you get from other forums is "Win 8 is not supported" or "Win 8 is the worst OS ever".
We won't give you that answer here, but I cannot hold your hand either, nothing I can find says a yes in black and white.
But I cannot claim to find an outright "no" either.
If I were to "bet money on it", I would claim that Win 8 **DOES** work.
But you'd kind of have to try it and CONFIRM for certain.

Well yes, but not really.
It should install, but you will have no GPU driver and it wouldn't really be a good experience to use.

The GPU is definitely a valid point.
I guess my experience on that is that I have ran "unsupported" Win10 (LTSC 2016 and LTSC 2019) on my newest laptop (Ryzen 5).
I did have to go to LTSC 2021 as my bare minimum on that Ryzen 5 due to "preferring" hardware driver availability.
BUT... even the 2016 and 2019 "unsupported" versions of Win10 *DID* run within a "good experience".
Sure, it would only run at 1024x768 on the "attached" laptop monitor and the external HDMI was limited to the same 1024x768.
But that's still a "good experience" for many folks.
I did need to use 2021 in order to achieve 4K.
But even then, I dropped it to *under* 4K for my useage (I didn't need 4k, but I did need higher than 1024x768).

I am seeing some forums cite that a Win10 Radeon driver will work on Win8 just by editing some of the driver's inf files.
I have not tried this directly (but have in the past in regards to "upgrading" WinXP drivers [I had limited success, but success nonetheless]).
