r3dfox, modern Firefox for Windows 7!
Do you happen to use 7 without DWM? Nope, I'm on Windows 8.1 stock. Oh, I didn't mess it up. about:config is technically new, however it's the classic version that has been around for ages and was replaced somewhere in 7x/8x. about:confignew is the new version that replaced it somewhere in 7x/8x. For me it's the other way round, about:config is the new one and about:confignew the classic default onehttps://github.com/Eclipse-Community/r3dfox/releases/tag/126.0-2 wrote: New about:config is accessible via about:confignew, classic about:config is still default.

And now I know what was my problem with the scrollbar, it was not the width but the missing arrows at the top and the bottom of the scrollbar.
But now with the new options the arrows are back even with the tiny scrollbar so everything is good for me

So new release (likely 126.0.1 when it releases) will have about:confignew. Perfect! I wasn't able to make the scrollbar stuff an option. Not a problem for me, I can deal with the config key values. But I'll try to get used to it for now and I'll see if it's a problem or not over time wit...

I've just installed version 126 and I'm not sure to like the very narrow scrollbar, maybe I just need to get used to it. And the new about:config is somehow strange, to me it's making things visually harder than before when I want to compare settings between browsers. But thanks for the fast update,...

No offense, thanks for your work, you are almost our only hope for a Firefox based browser on Windows 7 and 8 in the future.

I'm not leaving behind users of 8.x, it's the same as Firefox 115 on 8 Well, if I want to use Firefox 115 ESR on Windows 8 I can do it. And in fact I am also doing it. But the idea behind R3dfox is to use a modern version of Firefox on Windows 7 & 8. I quote from the project page: Eclipse r3dfo...

Well, the default dark theme is doing that with Firefox and LibreWolf but not with R3dfox anymore. The latest version which can have the black title bar is version 122.
I understand the improvements for Windows 7 users but Windows 8-8.1 should not be left behind.

why would it be inconsistent in the stuff I do tweak? I don't know what is going on but I have the feeling some things don't work in a VM the same as on a "normal" system. Sometimes it takes several long minutes before the file I've just downloaded is finally released by the system. Very ...
