Due to server slowness, downtime, and other issues, Eclipse will be moving to a more stable and efficient platform that should result in much better stability. There is no timeline for this yet, just want you to know what's happening with all the downtime and I have a plan to fix it.

slow internet with windows 7 updated v4 iso

Unread post by fun22298 »

When I installed my internet drivers for Windows 7, I noticed the internet was terribly slow but I was reaching over 200mbps download speed. I couldn't watch a youtube video without it taking it a while for it to load and it constantly buffering. This also happened to any other website I try to go to as it takes much longer than it should to load. Am I missing something? Do I need a better driver or is the ISO messed up for me?

Try running a speed test that shows latency. I'm wondering if there's a latency problem.

im pretty sure its something to do with the iso because my internet on se7en lite worked normal but i didnt really want a completely stripped down windows 7 so i chose this iso. is there some update i need because in the windows update app it says an error code of 80072ee2. i know it updating gives me telemetry but i dont really mind it

108ms download latency is a bit high, but it shouldn't be that big of a problem. Try restarting maybe

Are you using WiFi or Ethernet, and what WiFi/Ethernet device do you have?

I think these might work. Double click the I219-V, driver, update driver, browse my computer for driver software, let me pick from a list of device drivers, have disk, select the inf in the folder, and click ok or next when it shows a list with the I219-V in it.

Do you have another OS to check and see if it's a network issue?

I don't get it, I have seen no issues like this on various computers in my testing.

I don't think it's the telemetry updates, the slimmed ISO is basically the same as v4.

idk if this is related but when i used the official windows 10 iso, i had this same exact problem and it was because i disabled the telemetry, and when i reinstalled it with all the telemetry added it fixed itself

There's a lot of older Intel (and other) drivers here if needed. Maybe have a poke around.

(If you know C64 BASIC, you'll understand exactly why I highlighted the word 'poke'.)
