My current Windows 8.1 Win2Go setup running off an old NVMe drive stuck in an enclosure, with no added drivers running on my gaming PC since on this thing it unlike my 2 year newer laptop seems to not BSOD at all in the couple hours I tested it.

(Old Install) After All These Years Of Using Legacy Windows i Finally Decided It Was Time To Attempt A "Downgrade" To Windows 11 And It Seems To Run Amazingly Well On This Old But Powerful Dell Optiplex 9020 Desktop It Can Be Pretty Beautiful If You Make The Right Adjustments Image

You should probably be using PolyMC or Olauncher instead of the official minecraft launcher. The official one is just... terrible, to say the least.

Also, y no r3dfox?

ive actually never had problems with the official launcher all unofficial launchers are cracked pirate clients and illegal sources some don't even require an account to play sometimes and the reason why i don't have r3dfox is because im on windows 11 and that browser is designed for 8 or older

PolyMC may allow offline accounts, but OLauncher is a legitimate launcher, using old 2013 Java launcher as it's base (also wonder why no one mentioned MultiMC or it's fork, Prism Launcher).

Uh, MultiMC and Prism allow offline accounts, too - unless you're referring to a fork of Prism that calls itself by a misspelling of PolyMC that integrates a cracked skin server also used by a infamous, malicious Russian launcher. It's also not a bug, it's a feature of the game.

(Also, given that, at the very least, Notch's own stance on piracy has always been reasonably lax, I wouldn't be too bothered about it, especially if we're talking versions prior to 1.8.1-pre4, i.e. before the sale to Microshite.)

I'm really not sure about that bright red + glowing effect on black header bar... but pretty interesting multi-setup, nonetheless.

That theme was made before DWMBlurGlass was a thing, I was just copying resources from Win7's aero theme and another 7 like theme adopted for 10 since 10 needs specific atlas image, stock DWM ignores the glow image and Win7 has it white, black would be better for legibility in this case. I always loved green for active windows and red for inactive windows though.

The second screen turned 20 years old this year. It's a Samsung SyncMaster 710N. I feel old. :\

Oh, I didn't even notice the green. Perhaps the colours being a little more subdued would give it a more aesthetically pleasing appearance, but it's up to you.

NO, I made several changes and use custom icons and custom fonts and sizes to make it look more like 10 with light theme. Thanks for asking and good you are perceptive :)

I do have a dark theme but I don't care much for dark themes nowadays.

ImageOk and Okay, so this is my desktop with Artix Linux Cinnamon. Overall I'm not too impressed with it but I figured I'd show it - just doing a live session from DVD to test the media and I'll likely pass on it.

Never understood the infatuation with "desktops".

Only thing I do is set the background to XP blue, set light app mode, set color for task/title bars, replace start menu with Open-Shell, and remove the d@mn "dark mode" for the taskbar context menu.

Win10 only used to download crap from internet
- no explorer.exe
- classicview
- some little toys to add fun on that black screen
- programs launched from hidden bars on the corners
